Jessica received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2000 and completed her Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist in 2006. To help balance the stress of teaching and raising a family, she began her own personal yoga and mindfulness practice. She became a certified Mindful Schools Instructor in 2015.
Yoga & mindfulness have been a part of her life for 5 years. As an educator, mindfulness has benefited her students and helped them learn to pay attention on purpose. Her practice has helped her grow stronger and more flexible, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires her to live each moment more mindfully.
She completed my 200 hour Vinyasa Flow training with Evolve to Harmony Yoga and Avani Yoga Studio. She will always be a student and is deeply grateful for the loving wisdom her teachers have shared with her. As an instructor she enjoys beginning with a slow, thoughtful sequence, building to a peak pose and adding some heat while helping her students reach their limits and beyond and sometimes add in an inspirational quote.
Her goal is that students leave the studio feeling refreshed and balanced. Her desire is to help others live a healthier life; mind, body & soul.
